Our Mission Statement

"Our Lady of Victory Catholic School together with Home, Church, and Community, encourages within each child a love for learning and a desire to do one's best. "

"Be it known to all who enter here that Jesus Christ is the reason for this school. He is the unknown but everpresent teacher in our classes. He is the model and the inspiration of our students. Remember those who came before, recognize those who are here, and rejoice for those yet to come. "

Welcome to Our Lady of Victory School's website.  We have endeavoured to include many important facets of our Catholic School community on this new site. There are also a number of useful website links from topics as varied as Catholicity, Health & Nutrition, Safe Schools, School Councils and Board/Ministry initiatives. Check out our School Calendar page for the most up-to-date information regarding school events and P.A. Days/ holidays throughout the school year.

A Garden Blooms at OLV

Our Lady of Victory School has staff and students that are devoted to environmentally safe practices! The school undertook a horticultural planting experience which reaffirmed their duty as stewards of the environment. Students and parents very much appreciated the opportunity to add not only to the aesthetic value of the school but were happy to be given a chance to be true stewards of the environment. As a green school, Our Lady of Victory is thrilled to have TD Bank as a proud sponsor of their green school initiative. 'Growing with success' was a chance to educate all about the environment and directly relate it to other curriculum - including science, math, history, geography, and physical education. A great big thank you to TD Bank Friends of the Environment Foundation for the $500 grant which supported this valuable initiative.

Head Lice Outbreak in Halton

There has been a significant increase in the outbreak of Pediculosis (Head Lice) within our Board and the Halton District School Board. To deal with this increase, our service provider, We Care, has added additional staffing for each area of the region  i.e. Burlington, Milton/Halton Hills, and Oakville. For your reference, we have included information about Head Lice. Parents can also access information at http://www.halton.ca/cms/One.aspx?portalId=8310&pageId=30565

Transportation Update

The Board provides transportation to eligible Extended French students from their designated home school to their designated Extended French host school. Parents can access their child’s transportation information through Halton Student Transportation Services' website www.haltonbus.ca or by calling HSTS at 1-888-803-8660.  For security purposes, you will be asked to input your child’s OEN, which can be found on the front of your child’s report card.  As always, bus routes to our school will be posted on the main doors of the school the week before school starts. Should you have any questions, please feel free to call the school office.
