Principal’s Message
On behalf of our school staff, welcome to Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School. We opened our doors to our students on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 8:15 a.m. We have 575 students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. We have a double - sized gymnasium, a spacious library, 24 classrooms, two parking lots and a beautiful, landscaped yard.
We ask for God’s blessing so that we may all work collaboratively to make Our Lady of Fatima School a great place to learn. Together – parish, home, and school – we can inspire our students to develop the self-discipline and commitment necessary to reach their potential as citizens and lifelong learners. Together, we can make our school community one which is comprised of students, parents, and staff, who are consistently appreciative, kind, thoughtful, and respectful, taking pride in their surroundings and exemplifying Christian values in attitudes and actions.
We are truly blessed to have the continued affiliation and support of Holy Rosary Parish – Father Peter Tuyen, his associate Father Jason Kuntz, as well as their pastoral team. We appreciate their involvement and support in starting our newest Catholic elementary school.
We encourage you to become active in our school, as a volunteer in school-based activities, as a member of the School Council, and as a participant in school events. The time you invest in the school, is time well invested in your child’s education. You can learn about the activities at the school through this website, our school newsletter, and classroom newsletters and/or portals that individual teachers use to keep you informed. Each student in Grades 1-8 also has a personal agenda which we use to communicate with you on a daily basis. Please check the contents of these agendas daily.
Thank you for taking the time to be informed about your school community. We look forward to working with you throughout this school year.
Sincerely,
Carol Caverley
Principal
