RELIGION, SOCIAL SCIENCE AND HUMANITIES

The Religion, Social Science and Humanities Department, in keeping with the Board’s vision, is committed to expressing and teaching our Catholic Values. The goal of the department is to have each student grow to be a responsible, wise follower of Christ. Our aim is to have the students leave our school aware of their design by God to be “a loving person who must serve others.”

Through the students’ time at Notre Dame, they will learn about our Catholic themes including Rights and Responsibilities, Stewardship of Creation, Promotion of Peace and the importance of Community and the Common Good. As the mission statement for the board states, our goal is to develop the students to become “Christ-centred individuals” who can truly “transform society”.
