2007 NOTRE DAME SOFTBALL

Another season has come and gone. We welcomed a number of new players to our team this year, most notably our MVP pitching sensation, Karey Nelson. Karey was undefeated as a starter during the regular season, racking up a 3 -0 record. Returning pitcher, Kelly Koscielak found her calling in the bullpen, as a relief specialist with 3 saves during the regular season. In the first round of the playoffs, our pitchers were magnificent in a decisive victory over Assumption, where Karey earned her 4^th victory of the year and Kelly picked up her 4^th save, but try as they may, they were no match for the mighty T.A.Blakelock team, who ended our season in the following playoff game. Our captain, Amy Bouchard, provided solid defence behind the plate, and the addition of Kristine Kacan at shortstop, solidified our infield. We say good bye to Brittany Little and good luck to all of our players. Things look bright for next season.
