NOTRE DAME FOOTBALL (Jr and Sr Boys)

2007 JR. BOYS

This year's Fighting Irish showed how successful a group can be when they are truly committed. We began our workouts during the last week of the summer holidays. We ended the season with an undefeated Halton Championship and an Ontario Jr. Metro Bowl Championship victory at St. Michael's College in Toronto. It would have been tough for any team to outwork this group. We practiced in full pads everyday and demanded that they bring their best effort along the lines of excellence. The boys accepted that for us to be successful we had to pay a price.

We are proud that they earned a perfect 11-0 record but we are most pleased at the incredible way in which they did it. We were showered with the support of referees and opposing coaches wishing us well in future games.

In the times that we may have been down with fatigue or on the scoreboard, we were never down in spirit.  There was a collective mindset to be even more focused in their dedication and togetherness to do what they normally do, but to do it even better.  In this game and in life our truest friends should be those who inspire us, who help us rise to our very best.  More than our record this is something that they should be proud of as they demonstrated this repeatedly.

To the players: Throughout the season we continually asked that "all we want, is all you got."  There were times where we yelled at you and times we laughed with you. There were times we were proud of you and there were times that we watched in awe of you. Thank you for your dedication and Congratulations! We must also thank the many staff and students who supported us along the way. GO IRISH!!!
