Mission Statement
St. John Catholic Community is dedicated to providing a respectful, responsible environment which honours educational excellence and celebrates the development of individual  gifts and talents necessary to meet challenges of our technological society.
Our February Calendar and Newsletter are now posted on our website! Please click "Newsletter" and "Calendar" for our electronic versions. Hard copies of our Calendar will be sent home with students on Monday, February 1st!
SAVE THE DATE! Monday, February 29th - Last month we "MOVED" with X-Movement as a Community. This month, we are ready to "break bread" together for a Family Night at Boston Pizza! Our St. John Catholic School Council is sponsoring a "Celebrity Server Night" at Boston Pizza (Dorval and QEW)! Grab your family and friends and enjoy one of two seatings (at either 5:15pm or 6:45pm) with your St. John Community! More information and order forms will be coming home with your children soon!
Mad Science @St. John's!
St. John's is hosting a new Mad Science program called "Crazy Chemworks" every Thursday from 3:20pm to 4:20pm starting on January 28th until March 24th. For those registered, our Mad Science started on January 28th! Students will be in Room #1, just to the left of the main office. Pick up is at 4:20pm at the main office doors.
Please note:

An additional Professional Activity (PA) Day will take place on Friday, April 8, 2016.

Last year the Ministry of Education and the federations representing Ontario teachers took part in a centralized bargaining process. One of the negotiated terms of settlement that came to be as a result of this process requires each school board in Ontario to provide an additional Professional Activity (PA) Day, beginning this school year (2015-2016), and moving forward. The Ministry of Education asked school boards to provide the additional PA Day this year before April 15, 2016. 


In consultation with the Halton District School Board, the extra PA Day will be provided this school year across Halton schools on Friday, April 8, 2016. There will be no classes for students on April 8th.
