PARKING
For the safety of all children and to avoid congestion, please drop your child in the “kiss and ride” area at the east fence of the schoolyard. The circular drive at the front of the school is for buses only. We ask that parents do not park and/or leave their cars in the front driveway at any time. If you need to park, please find an open spot in the general parking lot or elsewhere in the neighborhood. Please follow directions of staff supervisors, and be safe, calm and patient or you may not be permitted on school property.
DISMISSAL
All students will be dismissed by their teachers and exit according to their assigned door. Please wait for your child/ren at the sidewalks or outskirts of the school board property. The supervised dismissal will ensure student safety and our school visitor policies are still in effect until our students have been fully dismissed.
Please do not direct your child to meet you at the front door unless they are being dismissed early for an appointment. If your child must leave for an appointment during the school day, please come to the office to “sign out” and “sign in” your child. Ensure that you have notified the appropriate teachers of the same through the agenda or a note.
BICYCLES 
Students riding their bikes to and from school are expected to follow these directions:

Bikes are to be walked across the school property.

Bikes are to be left in the bike rack area. Students are not to play in this area.

Bikes are to be locked.

In the event that a student does not follow the safety guidelines, their bike privileges will be lost.
Parents can help with bicycle safety by reviewing bicycle safety rules with their children at home. As of October 1st, 1995, students are required to wear an approved safety helmet.
LUNCH STUDENTS: LEAVING SCHOOL PROPERTY 
If you decide that your child will stay at school for lunch, in order to leave school premises during school hours, the student must have written permission from their parent/guardian and must report to the office before leaving the school. There will be no phone calls home for verbal permission. Students are required to return on time.
